This Friday 12 December, the charity Save The Children wants you to wear a festive woolly jumper to help raise money for disadvantaged children.

Christmas Jumper Day is now in its third year. So far the project has raised a massive £1.6million – just from people wearing silly sweaters. Pretty impressive!

How does it work?

You wear a Christmas jumper (think reindeer and snowmen) and then make a suggested donation of £1 for children or £2 for adults. The UK government will also match every pound raised this Christmas, helping even more children.

Where does the money go?

The money you raise on Christmas Jumper Day will help to save children’s lives in 120 countries around the world. Just £2 has the potential to save three babies with infections, by paying for the antibiotics they need.

Are you going to be wearing your Christmas jumper with pride on Friday? Send your pictures to Current@ms-sc.org and we’ll add them to our Christmas jumper gallery!
